Mediation / Arbitration Services: 2007 - PresentBeginning October 1, 2007 I have been primarily practicing as a mediator and arbitrator. I have conducted approximately 1,000 such proceedings in the area of circuit civil litigation and family law.

From January 1999 to January 2007, I was employed by the Office of Court Administration as a Magistrate for the 20th Judicial Circuit Court. In this capacity I assumed the role of an assistant to the presiding Circuit Court judges. Cases were assigned to the Magistrate by Judges Daniel R. Monaco, Judge Ted H. Brousseau, Judge Hugh D. Hayes, Judge Fred Hardt, Judge Lawrence D. Martin, Judge Lauren L. Brodie, Judge Franklin G. Baker, Judge Ramiro Manalich, Judge Eugene C. Turner, Judge Vince Murphy and Judge William L. Blackwell.
As Magistrate, I was vested with jurisdiction over all family law hearings and trials, case management for family law, juvenile dependancy, all civil litigation matters, Marchman Act and Baker Act (involuntary placement) hearings and matters relating to probate court. I also presided as a Child Support Enforcement Hearing Officer for cases involving individuals charged with child support delinquency by the Florida Department Of Revenue.
In March of 1999 I was appointed as Traffic Court Hearing Officer and assigned the duty of presiding over the trials of all civil traffic citations issued by law enforcement officers in Collier County, Florida. In this capacity I assumed the capacity of an assistant to the County Court judges.
Collier County Attorney's Office: 1997-1998
As an Assistant County Attorney, employed primarily in the Litigation Department as trial counsel representing Collier County in state and federal court concentrating the areas of employment and discrimination law, constitutional and civil rights, personal injury/premises liability and construction law. Also frequently given assignments in separate areas of administrative law. Appeared before and was questioned by the Collier County Board of County Commissioners, at public meetings, on numerous occasions.
